Monday Morning at Work: A Heart of Gratitude

Monday mornings often begin with the same familiar thoughts: “Another week. Another mountain of emails. Another to-do list.” It’s easy to complain, to sigh, and to wish the weekend had lasted just a little longer.

But before we do, let’s pause for a moment.

Some people would give anything for one more Monday.

Some are lying in a hospital bed, praying for another sunrise.

Some are battling depression, trying to find the strength just to get through today.

Some long for one more conversation with someone they love.

Some are grieving, carrying a pain that words cannot describe.

Others are living with illnesses that keep them from getting out of bed, wishing they could simply go to work again.

And here we are.

We woke up this morning. We have another opportunity to live, to love, to learn, to help others, and to make a difference. That alone is a gift.

So today, instead of asking, “Why is it Monday already?” perhaps we can ask:

“Lord, thank You for giving me another day that someone else prayed for.”
