Passionate about helping children living in poverty. I am a children's book author & social worker. Proverbs 16:24
Author: crinamorpho
I am deeply passionate about working with vulnerable children, adults, and their families, with a focus on education, parenting, mental health, and wellbeing, as well as empowering people to begin their own personal journeys and find their path in life. I grew up in a disadvantaged family, and that experience shaped who I am today, giving me resilience and a strong sense of purpose in this amazing world we call home. My journey has led me to this path, and sharing my lived experiences is my way of encouraging others to believe in themselves and put their faith in God. Even in the darkest moments, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. This is what I am passionate about, and what I continue to build through my work and my writing.
Make sure your parenting style is supporting healthy growth and development because the way you interact with your child and how you act will influence your child’s future
There are four types of parenting styles:
Authoritarian
Authoritative
Permissive
Uninvolved
Authoritarian
The parents do not take the children’s feelings into consideration
Children’s point of view, comments, or desire is not valuable.
Lots of rules and children MUST follow them or get into trouble
They have high expectations for their children
When a child asks ”why” they respond ”because I said so”
Authoritative
Are responsive to the child emotional needs while still having high standards
They explain the reason behind the rule
Encourage independence
I think this style is the most popular one.
Permissive
They have rules but rarely are enforcing them
They tend to be very loving with their children, yet provide few guidelines/rules
They are much like a friend to their child, not a parent figure.
Uninvolved
They don’t ask your child about school or homework
They are neglectful, indifferent with the child/ren
Rarely know where your child is or who she is with
The parents are all different, raising their children with different styles.
Some have more than one style. Before judging a parent for their parenting style, we have to look into ”their history” or better said their past. If they were abused, neglected they might copy their parent’s, they take them as a model
There are also exceptions; we can’t guarantee or judge a future parent based on their past. If my parents were uninvolved, this doesn’t mean that I will be uninvolved, for sure I will not.
The uninvolved one is describing my parents after I turned 12-13, my parents changed their style, from authoritative to uninvolved style. If you are asking how come? My Dad became an alcoholic and Mom had enough and became absent.
PARENTS, be present, role model, if you need help with your parenting, ask for help.
Some of us are stuck in the house, and I know that some of you are trying your best to keep the children busy, but not by giving them a gadget, or let them watch the TV all day long. You are a responsible parent.
Depending on the children’s age, you can try doing some of these indoor activities:
Karaoke, cause why not? Be careful to choose the right playlist.#
What are some benefits of singing at home?
It’s good for the mind, helps the memory, helps the child learn rhythm and rhyme. And you never know, the child might develop a new passion for the music.
Doing karaoke with children it’s a great way to bond; it’s good for the parents, siblings.
You can clearly say the mood change when you give that karaoke mic to the child.
2. Baking
I have always loved to bake biscuits, cookies with children, it’s my favourite activity.
Some of us are celebrating the CHRISTMAS, but I want you and me to remember the meaning of Christmas. What are we celebrating, truly? This year has been a challenging one. I think people prayed to God much more this year than in any other years. We are hating all that’s happening right now in the world. People have lost their family, friends, but much more the elderly are the ones that are suffering. I was watching a video about a lady that has lost her husband, she said ”we have been together for 70 years and he died in a homecare of Covid-19, so I couldn’t participate to the funeral, my heart is broken”. She cried and cried. I felt so sorry for her. This Christmas is going to be different, no doubt. All we have is the hope, faith that next year, we will celebrate together with our loved ones, we will give lots of hugs, kisses, and let our phone away while enjoying the family, friends. Now, what happened on Christmas day? JESUS was born, the one that saved us from hell, gave us eternal life. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. Give him praise! God bless you, all!
I am saying finally because we have been planning our wedding since January 2020, before knowing that Coronovirus will change our plans.
First, we planned for May 2020, then 1 st of December and God blessed us with the day 12.12.2020, our special day happened yesterday!
How is it to be a wife? Well, I do not know yet, but I can say it’s a blessing from God. I lived in the same house with Daniel since June 2019, we had our ups and downs, BUT now I am feeling revealed as I am finally A WIFE with documents!
Unfortunately, our families weren’t able to attend (COVID), but we can’t wait to have them in for our wedding party in MAY 2021 back in our home country, ROMANIA. We are thankful for our friend that attended the wedding yesterday.
My challenge now is to change all my documents as I have changed my surname… wish me luck!
Each year we are inundated with offers, ads, and tha MALL is full, and nothing left behind, the shoppers goes crazy. Did you know that people died on their hunt to shop on BLACK FRIDAY?!
Originated in the USA, it has now been adopted by many countries, including UK, and of course, my home country, Romania.
What is BF?
Did you know that the term was initially associated with financial crisis, not sales shopping ( 24 September 1869)
The gold panic was caused by a conspiracy between 2 investors, FISK and GOULD. They formed the gold ring to corner the gold market and force up the price of that metal. The scandal took place during the Presidency of GRANT, whose policy was to sell gold in order to pay off the national debt, stabilize the dollar, and boost the economy. (Read more about the gold ring scandal).
Why is it called BF?
Well, there is an explanation that dates back to the 60’s when the Philadelphia Police Department named the phrase to describe the chaos made by the congestion of pedestrian, vehicle .
With all the shopping activity that takes place the Friday, after Thanksgiving, the day became one of the most profitable days of the year for the retailers and businesses. Now, the accountants use black colour to signify profit and red to indicate a loss, so there we have THE BLACK FRIDAY. A Christmas gift 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
All over the Bible there are stories of men and women experiencing trials and tribulations. Some grumbled against God because of lack of water (Exodus 15:24), others worshipped God in trials and adversity (Job 1:20), others cried out to God in despair (Psalm 18:6). According to Scripture, PATIENCEis a virtue and a fruit of the Spirit, a sign of someone who trusts in God. According to 1 Samuel “lack of patience can cause you to miss blessings.”
1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
PSALM 7:7-9 7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. 8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. 9 For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
It is believed gingerbread was first baked in Europe at the end of the 11th century when returning crusaders brought back the custom of spicy bread from the Middle East. Did you know that ginger has the property to preserve the bread? I remember when I was around 14-15 I have done my first gingerbread house, it did not look like a house though and keep in mind I wasn’t 6, 7 or 10 years old, but I remember it was fun. When you want to do the activity with your toddlers, keep in mind that it will be messy, so practically throw all your expectations out the window and just have fun with the little ones! First tip: Provide, buy more candies, sweets than you plan to use, you know why right? Well, the children try the candy first to be sure that is sweet, tasty or good enough to be attached to the house, one in their mouth one on the house… But make sure they do not exaggerate, or no sleep that night, their energy will go up. Second tip: Have the recipe, the making in your mind already as children lose their patience easy and quick, so to have their attention, the adult must know what’s next. Third tip: Be prepared for the mess afterwards. It gets messy doing the gingerbread, especially if you work with more than 2 children, depending on their age band you can require and receive help with tidying up.
