Isus e viu!

”The earth is what we all have in common” there is no other option, people. We are ”stuck” here so we bettter take care of our planet earth.
The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970, when a US senator from Wisconsin organized a natonal demonstration to raise awareness about environmental issues.
According to some experts, we are in the midst of the planet’s sixth mass extinction, which is primarily caused by human activities.
Extinction is a natural occurrence, claiming roughly five species a day, but it’s estimated that hundreds of plant and animal species now face extinction daily.
That’s approximately 1,000 times the natural rate; by the middle of the century, 30 to 50% of all species on the planet will have vanished (www.nationalworld.com).
This may seem obvious, but with so much focus on the effects climate change has on habitats and the vast array of species that inhabit them, it can be easy to forget the immediate impact on human life it has too.
According to a 2018 study published in The Lancet, rising temperatures, along with an increase in the number of people living in cities and an ageing population, have resulted in a rise in heat-related mortality.

It’s your time to show them that you are the SUPERHERO of the story.
I can’t agree with the recruitment process some companies are using. With this question, the interviewer wants to understand if you are the Superman, Superwoman they need in their company.
Here are some examples
”When I started work in my previous role, I was keen (desperate) to make a positive impression. During the first team meeting I attended, I started putting forward some ideas that would help the team, but a senior member of staff kept talking over me. He was dismissive of my suggestions.
Whilst, I do not like conflict, I believe it needs to be sorted out quickly for the sake of the team. I saw it as my responsibility to try and resolve the conflict and to build a good relationship.
HERE IS THE SUPERHERO in action. After the meeting, I went over to speak to him in private. I calmly asked him if I had done anything to upset him. I said I could not understand why he kept talking over me during the meeting. I went on to explain that I was here to help the team and that I wanted to learn from other people more experienced than me, such as himself.
The result is that he appeared shocked that I had challenged him about the conflict, and he apologized for coming across the way he had done during the meeting.
Do you wanna hire a fictional character or a human being?
This question should be rephrased or cancelled from the recruitment list of all these employers. Why should I share my past and personal experience with someone I do not know. NONSENSE.
What if, instead of asking that question, you ask the individual, what is the best way to solve a conflict?

Kindness is grace.
Kindness comes from the Old English word ‘kyndnes’ meaning ‘nation’ or ‘produce, increase’. The word is further derived from the Middle English word ‘kindenes’ meaning ‘noble deeds’ or ‘courtesy’. The first recorded use of the word kindness was in the 14th century.
We are humans, and therefore, we make mistakes. We can be kind in our response to ourselves and others when those mistakes occur. This means thinking before speaking, forgiving before seeking revenge, isn’t this a verse from the bible?
Kindness is — and always will be — one of the most beautiful acts for good that exists in the entire world. But remember being kind is a choice we all make as individuals.
If you are a parent you might consider teaching your baby pure kindness from an early age. Encouraging kindness in the early grades helps children increases happiness and decreases stress.
The book Happy Hippo and Kind Goose can be a perfect tool for your kids to understand the values of being kind, having a good friendship and happiness comes as a gift.

You did it!

I am writing from my own experience as a victim of pickpocketing.
On the 7th of February, I thought that will be a good idea for me to go to the Westfield Mall to get my eyebrows done but also get some shopping done before flying out the following day.
I am in the H&M store, my brain wants to know what’s the time, so I take my phone out of my pocket and in seconds I place it back in my pocket.
I noticed cute dresses, lots of ladies around me, one particular ”lady” is kind of too close to me, but I thought nothing of it.
Ahh too hectic so I left that aisle, my brain tries to communicate with me and I have a feeling that something is not good, ok let me see what time is it??
MY NEW PHONE IS GONE!!!!!
I am in a state of shock, searching my bag, pockets but nothing, my new phone bought for only 2 weeks has been stolen.
H&M store manager says ”sorry darling, but it happens daily, we can’t do anything”
I started mourning my cute, so desired phone, called my husband to say ”Dani, a lady from this H&M store has stolen my phhhooonneeee (me crying).
The pain and the shock were kicking in, knowing that the next day I am flying out to Romania and then the USA my phone was a key to get all my info in place, but it was gone forever.
The police were informed and they are investigating the case, a few days ago, I have received a call from an officer saying that they have caught her red-handed, they are searching her house, but my phone was nowhere to be found.
Beware of crowded places.
Be careful around warning signs about pickpockets
I am learning all those tips, I will be much more careful from now on.
Only saw it on TV, until last week when I finally made it to the walk of fame. I was very excited by the thought of going on the famous street with the stars. Arriving by the sunset boulevard, we have stopped for Chick-fil-A, my favourite junk food from the States.
Walking on the boulevard, I have seen homeless people in their tents, drunk people almost harassing the tourists.
Overall, I have enjoyed the ”walk of fame”, taking pictures with my favourite stars, enjoying the sunshine of CA.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime
Most of us have been told or heard someone saying this proverb, some people will say it with pride or others with belief.
Let’s ”translate” this saying= If you do something for someone, like giving a free fish to a needy person, they will eat that fish and tomorrow they will be hungry again. But if you show/teach them how to fish, they will learn how to take care of themselves for the rest of their life.
BUT be very careful when you say this quote as there are people with disabilities, basically, it’s over their human power to fish for themselves! Now tell me, how can the disabled child or adult not aware of their surroundings take that fish hook and go out to the lake, river, sea, whatever and catch the fish to eat it tomorrow. Impossible right?
The above explains why I can’t agree with the whole proverb itself. I believe half of it, and I am sure you understand which part.
Some charities, businesses, CIOs, Social enterprises and the list can continue are using this proverb. I would not use this proverb because can’t be applied to all individuals, let’s not forget about the most vulnerable people in this world.

If a baby is malnourished, neural cells can become weak or damaged and this can cause lowered brain function. If a child has little interaction with their caregiver, it can change how emotional and verbal pathways develop and impact their ability to learn. This may have consequences for brain functioning in later life.
Our brains develop from before birth and into adulthood
What happens in a child or young person’s life during these periods can have a significant effect on their brain development.
Positive experiences throughout childhood help to build healthy brains, while experiencing childhood trauma and abuse can harm a child’s brain development (Shonkoff et al, 2015)
“Kindness, kindness, kindness.
I want to make a New year’s prayer, not a resolution. I’m praying for courage.”
― Susan Sontag
I do not believe in the famous saying ”new year, new me” you know why? Oh well, because nothing can be new about us, we are still the same we were 1 day ago, on the 31st of December. 24 hours can’t make you all new.
We are getting too excited about the 1st of January, full of ideas thinking that this year will be different in a good, better way. But wait 1 minute, HOW?
Why a new year can give us a bag full of inspiration, ideas, excitement, and a new notebook to write in!?
We do forget something, planning our year with Jesus, our God. Being more Thankful, praying more often, and writing our new plans, ideas, challenge for the new year in god’s notebook.
Let’s not disappoint ourselves with our new year, new me by trying very hard and then at the end of the year to get depressed. Be wise and smart!
Start your morning with a prayer, and coffee/tea then everything will settle down.
